  • Comlara Park Visitors Center

    This Environmental Education Facility houses permanent audio/visual wildlife displays, artifacts originating from the site, a rotating summer exhibit program and other educational displays.
  • David Mansion State Historic
    Hours: Wed to Sunday
    Admission: $2 (Adult); $1(Youth)
    This 19th-century estate offers a look inside the lifestyle of the wealthy and powerful of its day. Also known as "Clover Lawn", this mansion was the home of United States Supreme Court Justice David Davis, mentor to Abraham Lincoln and the man who helped Lincoln win the nomination for the Presidency. Davis served on the bench of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1862- 1877. Judge Davis was a nationally prominent figure, and the home and its Renaissance style furnishings, many of which are original, reflect his stature. Outside, visitors will find more evidence of the Davis' prosperity in the formal garden, original carriage barn, stable and woodhouse.
  • Fairview Family Aquatic Center
    Hours: From Memorial Day to Labor Day, 1:00 pm to 9 pm.
    Admission: $3 (age 3 – 15); $4 (adults)
    The activity pool features arched water jets, water sprays, a Polar Bear slide and a water mushroom along the zero depth edge and six lanes for lap swimming in the 5' area. The plunge pool features a one meter diving board and two drop slides. The drop slides offer a new thrill to riders by allowing them to free fall 2-4 feet before coming into contact with the water. The existing 42' high, two flume seamless waterslide remains part of the facility with turns, tunnels and drops to excite both adults and children. No longer requiring a separate fee, the two slides are 350 feet and 250 feet long.
  • McLean County Museum of history

    The Museum is one of the region's finest examples of American Renaissance architecture and is constructed of marble, bronze and mahogany.
  • Miller Park Pavillion
    Hours: Year-round
    Admission: Free
    In the early 1900's, dancing at the Pavilion was one of the favorite pastimes of the era. This unique landmark was restored in 1977 and is quite impressive with its rambling porches, chandelier lighting and interesting design.
  • Miller Park Zoo
    Hours: Daily: 10 am to 4:30 pm
    Admission: $3 (Adults); $2 (Senior Citizens and Youth)
    A Bloomington-Normal landmark since 1891, Miller Park Zoo is one of only five zoos in Central Illinois and the only one to feature Sumatran tigers. Discover the indoor tropical rain forest with 20 different species of exotic birds. The outdoor exhibits feature sea lions, bald eagles, red wolves and the Wallaby Walk-about.
  • Prairie Aviation Museum

    See the history behind current aviation technology. The headquarters building houses a theater, aircraft models, an engine, an escape capsule, photos, uniforms and Ozark Airlines memorabilia. Revolving displays document many facets of our aviation heritage. Outside and hangar displays include a 1942 DC-3 (the only flying aircraft listed on the National Register of Historic Sites), A-7A Corsair II, T-38, T-33, 1958 Cessna 310B, Marine Corps Sea Cobra Helicopter, a Navy F-4N and several military ground vehicles.
    New to the museum is the permanent display of an UH-1 Helicopter. The "Huey" is 57 feet long, stands 18 feet high, weighs about 9,000 pounds and has a rotor diameter of 48 feet.
  • Upper Limits

    Upper Limits is the tallest indoor climbing facility in the world and one of the largest in the country. With more than 20,000 square feet of climbing surface, it has 44 separate lines of roped routes and eight over-hangings and/or roof routes. Upper Limits offers a warm-up area, proshop, equipment rental, instruction classes and seminars, group rates, locker rooms and an artificial waterfall in the winter months which is advantageous for ice climbing.
