Option 1 – The Peoria Charter Bus provides very convenient and inexpensive transportation between O’Hare International Airport in Chicago and Illinois State University. Most faculty, staff and students traveling to and from O’Hare use this bus service. Please check out their operating schedule and costs on their website www.peoriacharter.com. The bus leaves the O’Hare Bus/Shuttle Center – Door # 4 at 10:15 a.m., 3:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. and leaves Terminal #5 – Door 5E at the Center Curb about 5 minutes later. It arrives at Illinois State University at 12:55 p.m., 5:40 p.m. 9:40 p.m. and about 12:30 a.m. Please note that we do not pick up students after 10:00 p.m. If you are flying into O’Hare airport, we highly recommend coming to campus on the Peoria Charter Bus. Make sure you have the correct change for the ride. Ticket at present costs $28.00 to Bone Student Center on campus in Illinois State University

Option 2 – The Central Illinois Regional Airport is currently served by AirTran, Northwest Airlink, American Eagle, American Connection (formerly Trans World Express), and United Express. These airlines can provide a convenient commute to Normal/Bloomington, Illinois. Look up specific airline information on the web at www.cira.com under “Airline Info.” Please note that we do not pickup students after 10:00 p.m. Also note that there is an airport at the city of Bloomington in the state of Indiana. Make sure that you are flying to Bloomington in Illinois!

Option 3 – The Amtrak Train provides service from many points around the U.S. You can easily get to Bloomington/Normal by train from downtown Chicago, Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri. Please contact Amtrak for schedules and rates. Their website is www.amtrak.com. Please note that we do not do pickups after 10:00 p.m. Do not take the train if you are coming from O’Hare Airport.
